My wife's grandfather passed away in January 2007. Although stricken with Alzheimer's in his later years, he was a mountain of a man. He had an incredible work ethic throughout his 99 years, being raised by his industrious parents who were immigrant Swedes. He served in such diverse roles as logger, builder of railroads and highways, milkman, grocery store owner, and restaurant owner. He had a wonderful knack for telling a story and, with all his experiences, he certainly never lacked for stories.
