My wife's grandfather passed away in January 2007. Although stricken with Alzheimer's in his later years, he was a mountain of a man. He had an incredible work ethic throughout his 99 years, being raised by his industrious parents who were immigrant Swedes. He served in such diverse roles as logger; builder of railroads and highways; milkman; grocery store owner; restaurant owner. He had a wonderful knack for telling a story and, with all his experiences, he certainly never lacked for stories.
